18 August 2020: RightBridge Ventures AB (“RightBridge Ventures”) and Animoca Brands Corporation Limited (“Animoca Brands”) have initiated a strategic partnership with the acquisition of Gamma Innovations Inc. (“Gamma”) by RightBridge Ventures.
Gamma offers a PC software application that allows users to leverage their computers’ idle processing power to generate Razer loyalty credits called Razer Silver. The commercial relationship between Gamma and Razer that represents a potential audience of 60 million Razer users, consisting primarily of gamers. Currently, Gamma’s software has over 35,000 unique active users.
The acquisition of Gamma confers to RightBridge Ventures the capacity to:
- Leverage the growth of Play2Earn. Play2Earn is one of the strongest trends in the gaming industry, contributing to resolve the industry challenge of capitalising large Free2play audiences. Play2Earn game engines such as GammaNow are at the heart of the Play2Earn ecosystem.
- Tap the strong growth of the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning markets. Gamma is exploring the opportunity to utilise the computing power generated by GammaNow users to power artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning functionalities. GammaNow’s computing power is inexpensive, reliable, scalable, and in the long term has the potential to outpower cloud supply, which is expensive and unable to meet future demand projections.
- Access to a large gamers’ community. Razer represents a potential audience of 60 million users, consisting primarily of gamers. This relation shall be leveraged by RightBridge Ventures portfolio companies.
